Lyndel Anunciado

“I believe fitness is the key to healthy living. I view Physical Therapy as a gateway that will take you to that state of well-being. When you start Physical Therapy with us, I want that day to be the beginning of your new life. I want my patients to use Physical Therapy as the stepping stone to a healthier lifestyle. All it takes is a goal and I will get you there, whether that goal is to be able to play your favorite sport, doing housework or play with your grand kids.”

Lyndel Anunciado began his career in Physical Therapy when he decided to change course from Athletic Training to Physical Therapy. Inspired by the work of the Physical Therapists and trainers that he encountered while an athlete, he decided to pursue a career in Physical Therapy to help everyday people with their injuries and illnesses. With this new career in mind, he applied at HBPTS to get a first-hand look at how the world of physical therapy would work for him. “It was love at first sight,” says Lyndel.

Lyndel received his Associate’s degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant at Cerritos College in 2001 and was then promoted from Aide to Physical Therapist Assistant at HBPTS. Here, he gained vast experience learning from his colleagues and through continuing education courses which lent to his excellent manual therapy skills and allowed him to treat patients with a variety of conditions ranging from post-surgical rehabilitation to balance training. He has taken continuing education coursework for advanced postural dysfunctions, acute and chronic spinal injuries, and tendon pathologies.

Lyndel helped implement stretch and exercise courses in the HBPTS Wellness program designed to help patients improve their level of mobility, strength and cardiovascular conditioning to improve their activity of daily living. He is a certified bike fit specialist with foot pedal interface which analyzes hip, knee, and foot joint angle position while cycling to provide recommendations to reduce fatigue, tendon injuries, and optimize efficiency during rides and competitive racing. Lyndel is an invaluable asset to HBPTS and within his 14+ years of experience he has helped thousands of Huntington Beach residents regain their lives.

Lyndel is a very hard working and caring person that is dedicated to assisting his patients reach their goals during their rehabilitation. He believes in Physical Therapy as a stepping stone for better health, encouraging patients to expand their programs to strengthen not just a specific injured body part but the ENTIRE body. Patients are transformed from an injured individual to a healed person returning to their goals for return to hobbies, sports, or just daily function.

He enjoys spending time and traveling with his wife, Jill, and remains an avid cyclist. He has been getting more involved in running participating in various running events in hopes of completing a marathon in the near future. He loves to be outdoors, going on hikes, camping, and enjoying our beautiful Southern California weather.
